Access Levels
Access Levels
Access levels are permissions to access certain functionality
The access levels are:
Admin: Access all areas! Backstage pass! Access to the Admin Dashboard and all it contains!
Learner: Standard access to complete content and interact socially (access to the library, social feeds, gamification features). Everyone on the platform should be assigned this access level as it gives access to the front end.
Admin Lite: Stripped down Admin access. They are only allowed to create/view/edit/delete the areas you want them to be able to. For example, someone in design could have access to gamification and settings so they can make the platform/badges look how they need to. Or, a content creator could only have access to the types of content they create. You could also assign someone to manage clubs and be the engagement expert! Talk to your customer success manager further on how to create these.
Manager: VIP, front-of-house access. This means access to front-end features “Manage Learners” and “View Reports”.
Tutor: Gets assigned to training events and becomes responsible for marking attendance after the event has happened.
Expert: Becomes visible to all users from the Experts page, can be asked questions and is responsible for giving appropriate answers. They are able to populate the FAQs.
Assessor: Responsible for marking tests that have text or file-upload answers.

Training Coordinator: Given to managers if you want them to invite them to managed enrolment events.
Travel Manager: Needs to be both a manager and training coordinator. When a manager selects hotel/flights required in the managed enrolled event in the manage learners section the travel manager will receive an email prompting them to contact the learner to make travel arrangements.
Access Levels: Key Notes
Users can, and should, be in multiple access levels.
All accounts on the platform should have “Learner” ticked so that they can appropriately access the front-end.
Admin access should be carefully restricted. As a starting point, only the team creating the platform should have Admin access. Only Admin and Admin Lite have access to the Admin Dashboard.
Manager access is a big responsibility. It’s important to communicate with managers appropriately so that they know the functions. Preparing a set of training documents or videos for anyone who gets manager access can save a lot of time down the line.
Experts are universal so make sure that you are happy with all users seeing them!
Gold Level is an option for learners that you want to have visibility of all learners/content but not have access to the admin dashboard. Think of them as the ultimate Learner account, Perfect for CEOs who may want full visibility but without the need for admin functionality.
