Classrooms on curriculums
You can also add Courses/Classrooms into a Curriculum.
Once you have added your course, you need to make sure you have also created (ideally Self Enrol) Events/Classrooms/Webinars for Learners to enroll on. Once they click on the Course item on the curriculum, this will give them the dates of the events they can attend. They then enroll and once the Event/Classroom/Webinar has taken place and the Tutor marks Attendance, they will then be able to proceed to the next piece of content.
If you want to add a Managed Enrolled Event to a Curriculum you will need to do the following:-
Lock all the content in the order in which the content needs to be completed (you do not have to do this with the first couple of pieces of content but you need to lock the content after the PDF Place Holder).
When you get to the Place Holder PDF, this will give you instructions to refer to the Managed Enrolled Classroom you have been invited to via email.
Classroom Attendance
Once a Learner has attended the Event, the Tutor will need to mark the Learner as having attended the Classroom. The next piece of content to be unlocked after the PDF Place Holder will be a Test. This is one question test, which is "Have you attended this Classroom?” It is set up as a Text answer and has to be marked by an Assessor. The best practice here will be to have the same person who is the Tutor, as the Assessor to mark the Test, as they will know if the Learner has attended the classroom or not. Once the Assessor marks the Test, then the next piece of learning in the Curriculum will be unlocked.
Once you have created the Curriculum, you will need to send the Manage Enrolled invite to the Event via Admin/Learners/Send Invites/Managed enrolled. The Learner will then get the email notification of the invite and you will refer them to this via the PDF Place Holder document.
Tick Box - Tick this box each time the content changes to withdraw users' completion status & notify them of your new material. Would suggest you tick this box if you are likely to add additional content to the curriculum.
Click on Save Changes.
This will then complete your curriculum.
