Let’s dive into the functionality behind, The Knowledge Arcade’, Growth Engineering’s super engaging learning environment condensed into a mobile app!
Push Notifications
We are a push notification crazy society! They let us know someone has commented on our Facebook post and the latest breaking BBC news. The Knowledge Arcade harnesses this power to turbocharge the learning experience for its users...
Users will be alerted when new content is made available and when someone has replied to their social post. This helps to develop a thriving learning community.
Custom notifications can also be created. This ranges from breaking company news to a classroom reminder to a little burst of Monday morning inspiration. The targeting functionality on the Admin panel means it’s the fastest way of getting a message to employees. You can target the entire population, specific groups or even an individual user!
Scorecard

From the moment they log in, the user is thrust into a gamified record of their learning adventure to date. The Scorecard serves as a launchpad for self-development, inspiring a thirst for knowledge and instilling a sense of learning with purpose.
Streaks are designed to ensure users keep coming back to the training platform and keep engaging with their learning programme. Users can see Streaks mount up live as you reward them for logging in, completing content and winning knowledge Battles. Simply hit the dropdown to see your preferred Streak score.
A glance at the section below and users can easily identify how many badges they have, where they sit in the overall leaderboard and how much XP they’ve accumulated. This will remind the learner how far they’ve come and spur them on in their journey!
Next up we have Battle Stats, this is a breakdown of their Win/Draw/Lose history which adds that extra level of competition to every Battle. From here you can also launch straight into the action by pressing ‘Start Battle’!
And the final section of the Scorecard is all about learning Quests. Users will be able to see the Categories they’re closest to completing and from this section dive straight back into them by hitting ‘Continue’.
Clubs

Each Club can be fully customised with a look and feel to represent the discussion points or various brands under your organization's umbrella.
Users can subscribe to Clubs of their choosing and will receive a push notification alerting them that someone has posted. They’ll also be notified every time someone replies to one of their social posts. These powerful push notifications help to develop a thriving learning community.
Designated users can also pin posts to the top of Clubs to ensure those more important messages don’t get lost.
Images, Videos, Links and documents
Clubs on The Knowledge Arcade have a familiar feel to the user. The functionality mimics that of popular social media platforms such as Facebook or LinkedIn, which makes for a more engaging experience.
The social feed allows learners to ask questions and share their expertise through images, videos, links and documents. These can then be liked and commented on. It’s a Growth Engineering solution so of course, these actions are gamified to encourage knowledge-sharing with users receiving XP for posts, replies and likes.
Post Sharing
Sharing is caring and with The Knowledge Arcade, you can spread the word about all the awesomeness you see in other Clubs so nobody misses a thing!
Post Translations
Clubs bring people together. With our post translation tool, you have the power to unite different departments across varying continents. This means staff based in Tokyo can now share their wisdom with the team in Toronto. The learning revolution has truly gone global!
Quest Sharing
Speaking of, we’re determined to put the ‘learning’ back into Social Learning. Users can share their favourite pieces of training content, encouraging their peers to devour them and turbocharge their completion stats.
Polls
Our latest piece of social learning functionality comes in the form of Polls! Throw a daily question out to your learners to get them thinking and identify any knowledge gaps. You can also use them to discover more about your learning community to help shape your online learning strategy. And why not engage them with fun competition polls to keep those login numbers through the roof.
My Learning
My Learning is the home of training content on the app!
The Library is your training content hub. You have total control over what categories and content your users see. You could have an entirely open library where people are free to explore whatever takes their fancy or you could restrict people to specific content based on their job role or language.
You’ll notice that ‘Search’ functionality is at the forefront of this Library, making it perfect for learning at the point of need.
The ‘To Do’ section is where learners will find content and courses that Admin have pushed their way. This could be content geared towards a campaign or compulsory compliance training.
When you select a piece of learning you’ll be given a breakdown of its contents and what gamification elements are involved. And just like on Netflix with your latest binge, you can download your training content for future offline viewing.
Battles
One of the newest pieces of app functionality from Growth Engineering comes in the form of Battles. It came about following conversations with content creators who were worried users would answer a question once and then forget all about it. With Battles this is impossible!
This feature lets your learners compete against each other in PvP quizzes. Challenge an opponent and five random questions will be drawn from the desired question bank.
As you can imagine, it’s the ultimate knowledge reinforcement tool!
Leaderboards
Leaderboards tap into our competitive spirit and act as a powerful engagement tool, driving users to keep learning
Leaderboards are based on XP collected through the completion of content and contributing to the social community
The Leaderboards can be viewed as weekly and monthly, ensuring short time and long term engagement is maximised
The pull of pole position motivates them to engage with the platform and their training. After all, if they know they’re just one action away from beating their rivals into the top, they’re more likely to put the effort in!
Badges
Users collect badges for completing training content on The Knowledge Arcade. These badges are usually fully branded by clients to match the product training. This encourages learners to collect badges and establish themselves as a champion of their organisation.
A trip to the Badge Cabinet will remind the learner how far they’ve come and spur them on to devour even more content! You can press the greyed out badges and it will take you to the awesome piece of content needed to fill up your badge cabinet.
