Reading & Links

Although Reading Items and Links serve a very similar function they are two distinctly different types of content. They are both links to external sites, however:

Reading

• Lives within the standard Library categories

• Can be reported on

• Can be included in levels and curriculum and therefore, form a part of the progression mark

Examples:

• Link to a trading standards website

• Link to a YouTube tutorial

Links

• Sit in a separate Link specific library

• Can not be reported on.

• Serve as a reference area to access important sites

Examples:

• Link to email system

• Link to HR portal
