This category of article aims to ask all the questions you would like to ask but sometimes feel worried about raising. 

 

Technology is becoming an increasingly important part of what it means to have a career in learning and development. Gone are the days of purely classroom training and one-on-one coaching as the digital age has fundamentally changed the way learning and development are executed within a corporate environment.  We see a raising requirement for a more technical approach and a deeper technical understanding of those that work in the L&D function and this change is here to stay. 

 

It is therefore important that those of us who are passionate about learning and development to continue to up-skills ourselves.  Below is some of the key terminology that you should familiarise yourself with:

  • SSO and Account Authorisation
  • API´s or Application Programming Interface
  • Bandwidth
  • CDN - or content delivery network
  • What does the cloud do and where is it?
