Social Following on the App

Social Following allows learners to follow other users in the App, making it easier to stay connected with colleagues and quickly access the posts they've shared. This guide explains how to follow and unfollow users, view your Followers and Following lists, and navigate to user profiles.

Why Use Social Following?

Social Following helps you stay connected with colleagues whose posts you want to keep up with.

By following a user, they're added to your Following list, giving you a convenient place to access their profile whenever you want. From their profile, you can view all the posts they've shared without having to search for them again.

While Social Following does not currently prioritise posts in your feed or send notifications, it provides a simple way to build your own network and quickly revisit the people whose updates matter most to you.

Looking ahead: Future enhancements are planned for Social Following, including notifications and a more personalised social experience.

How Social Following Works

Follow other users to stay connected with colleagues.
View your Followers and Following lists from your profile.
Unfollow users at any time.
Following does not send notifications yet. This is a future enhancement.
Access the profiles of people you follow to view the posts they've shared.
Following does not change content visibility or user permissions.

View Your Followers and Following

Your profile includes dedicated Followers and Following lists, allowing you to easily manage your social connections within the App.

Followers displays the users who are following you.
Following displays the users you are currently following.

To view either list:

Open the App.
Navigate to your Profile.
Tap Followers or Following to view the respective list.

From either list, you can:

View another user's profile.
See the posts they have shared.
Follow or unfollow users directly from their profile.

Tip: Use your Following list as a quick way to revisit the profiles of colleagues and browse the posts they've shared.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I unfollow someone?

Yes. You can unfollow a user at any time by visiting their profile and selecting Unfollow.

Will someone know if I follow them?

Not at this time. Following a user does not currently send them a notification. Notification support is planned for a future enhancement.

Can I follow any user?

You can only follow users who are visible to you within the App. This includes users who share a Club with you or users you can find using Global Search. Global Search is name-based, so you'll need to know a user's name to search for them.

Does following affect my permissions?

No. Following other users helps you stay connected with colleagues and quickly access their profiles and posts. It does not change content visibility, permissions, or access to any features.

If you follow someone you found through Global Search who is not a member of the same Club as you, you can still view the posts they have shared on their profile. However, you will not gain access to any Clubs or Club content that you do not already have permission to view.

Can I see the posts shared by people I follow?

Yes. You can open a user's profile from your Following list to view the posts they have shared.

Where can I see who I'm following?

You can view your Following list from your profile. From there, you can access user profiles or unfollow users at any time.
